Freshers' Information
As a fresher, you are cordially invited to Freshers' Fayre, a month or so of tasters, trials and socialising as you make the agonising choices over which clubs to join, which friends to choose and which drinks "agree" with you and which don't.
The UCL Union use a triplet, shown to the right, to describe the parts of Fresher's Fayre.
"Look" Week. Freshers’ Fayre
This is your chance to explore the union and its various clubs and societies, to work out what you might want to do when not playing hockey. Despite this obvious choice, we have a stand at Freshers' Fayer to pick up the stragglers and sign them up for trials. If you could do the same, it helps us get a rough idea of coach seats, beer levels, the usual, so sign up to trials on your way to getting some free popcorn from the NatWest stand and various assorted frisbees and stacks of post-its.
"Try" Fortnight. Trials, Tasters and Auditions.
This is the period where clubs and societies offer a free taster to get you hooked, just like that first rock of crack. The only important part of this is to get as much free stuff as possible, also, our trials are on the 1st and 4th of October, so keep those dates open.
"Join" Fortnight
The final step in the nicely sequential process. Just pop along to the CSC (in the Bloomsbury) and join the Hockey club, and any others you find enthralling.
